Q: Are you Based On a real farm?
A: Yes! Our products are all created on a traditional family run farm in the heart of rural leicestershire. We currently own a flock of 45 sheep including pedigree cotswold, pedigree Leicester longwool, Jacob sheep, and cheviots.
Q: Do all of your products come from your own flock?
A: Whilst we are increasing our flock each year, 45 sheep is currently not enough to create all of the wonderful products we sell. Therefore whilst we are always increasing how many items are made from our own flock, we do spin using a variety of other fleeces too.
Q: Are all of your products hand-spun?
A:99% of our the yarns that we sell are hand-spun! We take pride in the fact that most of out products are hand-spun on the farm and use a traditional spinning wheel to do this. we enjoy experimenting with new colours and fleeces.
Q: Are all of your products hand-Dyed?
A: Earlier this year we began to develop our wool room which has given us the ability to dye our own Yarn. However, whilst we continue to grow this area of the business we don’t yet have capacity to dye all the products we sell and therefore not all are hand-dyed.
Q: Do you currently run any craft workshops?
A: YES! We offer a variety of workshops and courses from Spinning, weaving & Social spins. You can find all of these on our ‘COURSES’ page. Alternatively, you can get in touch to find out more about what we offer and to arrange bespoke days that suit your needs.
Q: How do I return an item?
A: We hope that you will be happy with your product but for any reason you may need to return an item we offer a 14 day return period in which we will give you a 100% refund on the item you have purchased (exc delivery cost). Follow the return label that you will have received with your product. All refunds will be refunded to the card you used to make your initial purchase.
Q: Do you make items to order?
A: The great thing about being a small company is that we can listen to every customer. This means that we are more than happy to receive commissions and will do our very best to see how we can meet your requirements. If you do have an item you would like to ask about please get in touch!
Q: How much Yarn do I need for my project?
A: We always advise that you look at your pattern before deciding on how much yarn to buy. Patterns may vary in how much yarn is needed, but also our yarns vary in thickness which can affect how much you need. We give you Wraps Per Inch (WPI) as a guide on the yarn information.
